Learning to cook in lockdown

Hi Bloggers,

How is everyone's lockdown going? Mine is okay, I have been calling my family and talking to them. Also I have been playing with my friend in Minecraft. While we are in lockdown my mum has been teaching me how to cook. I used to help my mum when I was a little kid. So I do know a little bit about cooking. Before we did renovation to our house, we had a wall between the kitchen and lounge. I used to sneak into the kitchen and wash the dishes. I was too small so I used a small stool to wash the dishes.

So far I have helped my mum so many times this year. But there will be more. So today my mum and I made chicken curry, dhal and rice. I would have to say our food was super yummy. I am sure you would want to make this as well. So I will write down the ingredients and how to make it down below.

Chicken Curry Ingredients:
  • Oil
  • Chicken
  • Crushed Ginger and Garlic
  • Half Onion
  • Chilli - Green
  • Turmeric
  • Masala
  • Diced Tomato
  • Coriander
  • Salt
How to make Chicken Curry:
  1. Make sure you turn your stove on. Put three tablespoon of oil in the pot.
  2. Once the oil is hot put your chopped onion in the pot. Now mix until it's golden-brown.
  3. After it's golden-brown add all the crushed garlic and ginger. Keep mixing.
  4. Add one teaspoon of turmeric and masala and then mix.
  5. Now add your chicken and keep mixing.
  6. Put 1 and a half teaspoon of salt and keep mixing.
  7. Next put some tomato. Make sure to not put all of it, just half.
  8. Cook on slow heat until the chicken is cooked. If you want you can put a little bit of water.
Dhal Ingredients:
  • Yellow Peas
  • Red Split Peas
  • Salt
  • Turmeric
  • Crushed Garlic
  • Half Onion
  • Chilli - Green
  • Ghee
How to make Dhal:
  1. Wash the yellow peas and red split peas.
  2.  Now get a pot and put water in it.
  3. Add your yellow peas and red split peas in the pot.
  4. Get a another small pot and put two tablespoon of ghee.
  5. Now add three teaspoon of salt.
  6. Put two crushed garlic. One fresh green chilli.
  7. Put one teaspoon of turmeric in. Add these in the the pot full of yellow peas and red split peas.
  8. Now let it boil until the dhal is soft.
  9. Once the dhal is boiled get another frying pan and put ghee in it, then put half onion and four crushed garlic. When it turns golden brown then mix it into your dhal.
That is the end of my blog post. I hope you had a great day and enjoy your chicken curry and dhal. Remember to be safe and kind, do not fight over toilet paper, Please wash your hands, Wear a mask if you need to, Wear gloves if you need to, please do not get bored at home, do something, Unite against Covid-19, Stay home and do not panic buy because we have got supermarkets open.

Abstract Art

Hi Bloggers,

While we are in lockdown, I have been making Abstract Art. Abstract Art looks amazing and if you want to make it I will write it in this post. There is only four things you need and they are: Masking tape, pastels or crayon, any size paper and scissors. I will show you some pictures of my art. Then after that there will be the steps.

Here are some pictures:

Here are the steps to make Abstract Art:

  1. Get a piece of paper and any size will do.
  2. Tape the four corners with masking tape. Cut the tape with the scissors when you need to.
  3. Make different shapes using masking tape.
  4. Then with your pastels/crayons you use two different colours to make it look nice.
  5. Once you are done adding the colours you can press hard with a tissue paper to make it smooth and even better.
  6. Now carefully take the masking tape off. Now you may display it somewhere you like.
Now I will type in the colours that look good together. There are a lot of amazing colours that go good with each other so I will make a list below.
  • Purple and Blue
  • Yellow and Red
  • Yellow and Pink
  • Pink and Blue
  • Yellow and Green
  • Pink and Orange
  • Orange and Blue
  • Red and Green
  • Orange and Black
  • Pink and Green

  • Pink and Turqouise

Kawa of Care

What is the Kawa of Care?

Hello bloggers and everyone else. Well then, let me tell you all about it.

If you don't know what Kawa of care is, it is how you take care of your device.

How to hold your Chromebook/iPad
First of all if you have a Chromebook then you should hold it carefully so it never falls. To hold a Chromebook carefully you will have to keep your thumb on top and all of your other fingers at the bottom like a crabs claw. One thing about holding a Chromebook is that you should NEVER EVER HUG HOLD a Chromebook, because if you hug hold a Chromebook then it will slip because Chromebooks are slippery. Also if you have an iPad you need to hug hold your iPad. If you don't know what hug holding is then i will tell you, hug holding your iPad is like when you hug someone but you're hugging an iPad instead. These two photos below show how you should hold a Chromebook/iPad.

How to keep a chrome book/iPad safe
  1.  Type gently on your keyboard even if it is a on-screen keyboard.
  2. If you are eating then please do not eat food near your Chromebook/iPad.
  3. Keep your Chromebook/iPad neat, tidy and clean. You would not want it to be dirty while you are using it. No one would want a dirty Chromebook/iPad.
  4.  Never hold a Chromebook by a screen.
  5. Never hold a iPad by the cover.
  6. Do not keep your Chromebook/iPad on the floor or else someone can step on it. It will break and then you will have to pay for it to be repaired or buy another one. Paying for another Chromebook/iPad will be a lot of money.
  7. Always hold a Chromebook/iPad how it is supposed to be held by.
  8. Never ever run with a Chromebook/iPad.
You might know some more too!
