SLJ - Week 1 Activity 3

This blog will be a bit quick. I have to do another blog post really quickly. This time SLJ task was about spread the word. I had to add some pictures of blogs and comments and my top 5 favourite blogs. So I will add the slides in now. I added the links to the blogs that are my favourite. I have just finished my animation. This animation is all about fishing. I made this animation because our Ako Hiko Film Festival got cancelled. Can you guess my metaphor?

Today I was making a metaphor, I was drawing not just writing a metaphor down. So this one is a bit like the simile one I did the other day. I will add my metaphor in and you must try and guess it. SLJ - Day 7 Activity 2

 Hi bloggers,

Today my task was called 'The treasure code'. I had to make three different slides for this because I wanted it to be extra detailed and I made two videos. My first slide and second slide was the kick start activity. The last slides and the 2 video are apart of the 'Stepping it up activity'. I did my video in my brothers room. I accidentally said 'so the' at the end. It was a mistake. Here are my slides that I finished first:

Here is a clue: It is three things I like to do. This bit is the part where I am saying 'I like to do': FOKFDUTID

This bit says three things that I like to do but I can't tell you because that's what you have to figure out: LSUBLISCQOCUBBEHOHX. There is an 'x' at the end because there was one letter out. So the 'x' at the end doesn't mean anything.

SLJ - Day 1 Activity 2

 HI Fellow Bloggers,

Today was the first day for the Summer Learning Journey. For today's task we had to write a comment. We have to keep it positive, thoughtful and helpful. Also if it is PT and H (Positive, Thoughtful and Helpful) you get bonus points. Positive is when you say something nice of someones blog post. Thoughtful is when it reminds you of something. Helpful is when you help them improve their blog post. Here is a screenshot of my comment:

 Hi Fellow Bloggers,

The first of summer went really because we did some tabloid activities. We were the leaders because we were the last class who had a turn to be leaders, Tabloid activities are like that there is a set of games and the group goes from this game to another game and so on. E.g: If there are seven groups and seven sets of activities then group one goes to the first game and group two goes to the second game and so on. It was really fun for me and hard because some issues that I will list down below. 

My Reflection:

What went well while leading the activities:

1.  Demonstrating to everyone.

2.  Counting each teams scores.

3.  Taking turns to explain how to play. 

4.  Everyone was playing nicely.

5.  Everyone had a go and participated.

6.  The kids (Room 8 and 9) were all having fun.

What didn't go well while leading the activities:

1. Leaders had to shout so that the participants can listen.

2. People were cheating by saying that they got in the hoop but they didn't.

3. Leaders were blocking the hula hoop goals.

4. No one was paying attention.

5. I had to tell some people to stop touching the bean bags twice. 

6. They were throwing three bean bags and your not allowed too.
