SLJ Day 3 Activity 2

 Hey Bloggers,

Today I made an optical illusion. They are an art that consists geometric shapes and patterns, usually they are black and white. Which is cool. I drew one which was for 'kick start'. I have also made one on my chrome book for the 'step it up'. Here is a picture of my hand-drawn optical illusion:

You will need: Paper, Pencil, Ruler, Cardboard and a Sharpie. Keep a cardboard under you piece of paper so the sharpie ink won't go through the paper. I made this by making lines. I made small lines and then big spaced lines. Which is kind of like a pattern. But before that I made a rectangle in the paper. Then made a line with small space, then another line with big space. I did that till the end. Then made lines that made it look like there are stairs going down. using the sharpie. Using my pencil I made the short spaced rectangle more dark. I did that and made one light shade from the second stairs and made it go all the way down. I watched a video and here is the name if the video: Easy 3D Drawing Illusions to Test Your Brain! I only watched the one to make stairs. I made my stairs a little bit more than the one in the video.

This will be my 'step it up' task. Here is my optical illusion DLO Template. I had to put the photo of my optical illusion on the google drawing, then write an explanation of how it works. Here it is:

I finally got to know how to add my video. Here they are:

This is part one. Here is part two:

Thanks everyone for look at my blog. I will be making more optical illusions so watch out for that too.

  1. Kia ora Neha,

Fiona here from the SLJ team. WOW! What an awesome post you have done for the optical illusion activity! I really like the way you have hand drawn such a cool illusion and written a detailed explanation of how you did this so we can really understand the activity and know how to give it a go ourselves. Ka pai!

Your illusion really does trick my eyes - the stairs look like they go all the way down. How long did it take you to draw your illusion?

Sorry to hear you couldn't upload your video. This site has some instructions you might find useful. Click here to see how to do this.

    Keep up the awesome mahi!

    Fiona (SLJ).

    1. HI Fiona,

Thanks for the comment. It's appreciating. It takes me 7 to 10 minutes to make this Optical illusion. Thanks.

Yes I know but I have looked at the link and I am just saving the videos to my drive which will be long. I will add it to this post. It was useful but it will take a little bit long to add it to this particular post.
      Thanks
