HI Bloggers,
For today's task you have to make our own Haiku poem. A Haiku poem is a poem and the first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables and the last line has 5. The easy part was to know what your Haiku poem would be about. The tricky part was making it but I eventually got it. It was hard when you come up with one and then when you count the syllables, it has more than what you needed. (HAHA)
Here is my Haiku poem:
I hope you liked it. For my 'Step it up' task I made a slide full of some Haiku Poems. I made a bit more than how much I was meant to. This was tricky because I couldn't find the picture for my poems. It was easy to make them because I just had to think about the descriptions. Here are my slides:
Here is a video of me saying the poems:
Thanks for looking at my blog. Have a good day!
Kia Ora Dahran,
ReplyDeleteIt’s Charlotte here, a commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. You have done some great work on the ‘Summer Haiku’ task!
How did you find this activity? I think that Haiku poems are very interesting, did you know that they originated in Japan?
I like the summery photo that you have included along with your haiku! Summer is my favourite season because I love to go swimming, spend time at the beach, and eat lots of ice-cream. What do you like to do during summer?
Ka Pai on completing the ‘Step It Up’ section of this activity! This gets you even more points which can get you in the draw to win some awesome prizes!

HI Charlotte,
DeleteYou have mistaken the name because there is no Dahran here. But that's okay. Thank you for commenting on my blog. I appreciate it.
I got it from the SLJ blog. I added more poems and made a video of myself. Yes that's true, I know they originated in Japan.
Summer is my favourite season too! The things you are also what I like to do in Summer.
Oh that's very cool. Have a good day Charlotte.
Kia Ora Neha,
DeleteI am so sorry! I draft all my comments on google docs before posting, so I must've been looking at a different tab heading when I typed in the name. The rest of the comment was definitely about your post though!
Yes this is an activity from SLJ and I have made sure to give you points for this activity! What ha been your favourite SLJ task so far?

Ooh That's very cool. I wonder how many I have. My favourite SLJ activity is summer Haiku, Optical Illusions and The treasure code which is the one I am doing right now!
Have a good day Charlotte!
